Artist's Bio

Tom Smith grew up in Philadelphia, PA during the prime of the 80s hip-hop era. His natural, artistic abilities lured him into the realm of graffiti art, where his name and techniques have become world renowned. This recognition has given him the opportunity to create murals for clients such as: Tylenol, Dodge, M&M Candy, Greyhound and Heineken. His interest in becoming a professional artist lead Tom to The Art Institute of Philadelphia, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communications. Currently, Tom is working at Center City Film and Video as a Motion Graphics Designer and Animator. and continues to paint murals. He has been featured in a multitude of books, magazines, newspapers and videos. Tom has also showcased his paintings in art galleries in New York and Pennsylvania. In 2004, he debuted his "Aquatica" series at the UNION 237 Gallery in Philadelphia, Tom is now focusing on a new body of work that he calls "PIN-UPS with a Twist."
